ECS.-  The Endo-Cannabinoid System

This "system" exists in all of us, featuring a central regulatory system with receptors, modulators and specific enzymes.

From years of research and experimental studies, scientists have determined the importance of a chemical and  physiologic system whose role is that of maintaining overall health and balance in the human body.

CANNABIS-LIKE compounds and their "entourage" (accompanying enzymes and other modulating substances), normally exist throughout our bodies, performing different tasks, but most importantly, their primary mission is to maintain overall balance and stability in our internal environment, regardless of any changes in our external environment.

CBD- cannabidiols, are important because they regulate and modulate tone in our bio-chemical world.

CANNNABINOIDS offer a complex bio-chemical basis for the many functions and tasks that our brain,  immune system and every other system in our body requires for optimal performance.

CBD is derived from the "cannabis plant" with two distinct original designs-

1-  hemp

2- marihuana

Each of these cannabinoid substances have their very own characteristics and yet, they function better together with improved balance and less unwanted additional effects.

In addition, the "entourage" effect refers to the complementing aspects of the whole plant which includes:  phytocannabinoids, fatty acids, terpenes, plant sterols, chlorophyll and vitamins.

Research has clearly determined that a more balanced product for general consumption is best formulated when it contains as many components of the entire plant as feasible while the preparation allows for the creation of oils, tinctures, balms, and similar types of products.

Marihuana has been known by many names, but more specifically, CANNABIS- is perhaps the best descriptive term.   It is best known for the "high" or psycho-tropic stimuli that causes euphoria as well as different degrees of calming and relaxation.

None the less, and inspire, its dark history as an illegal substance, banned in many states, still today; cannabis is now, clearly acknowledged as a potential medicinal tool to mediate a vast assortment of SYMPTOMS that may be associated to different disease entities.

The chemical compounds contained in marijuana, known as cannabinoids, are capable of activating receptors and are capable of affecting different neurotransmitters in the brain and other parts of our bodies, thereby influencing numerous body functions.

Many of these functions that can be potentially regulated by cannabinoids include:  sleep, mood, inflammation, pain and immune response to mention a few.

Cannabis, when used for its true and full potential can be quite beneficial and can afford improved quality of life and enhanced health for many individuals.
